Katapola, Amorgos. A very picturesque port of Cyclades
consisted by three old villages, amphitheatrically constructed
around the port and officially caracterised and protected
as traditional villages of Greece.
Diosmarini is a beautiful small pension, built into the very beautiful and picturesque
village of Xilokeratidi, at a privileged area since it is protected by the strong
north winds (meltemia), and with beautiful sea view. |

It is consisted by 8 rooms (doubles, tripples and four
beds room) and one apartment. Each room has private
bathroom,refrigerator and gaz with cooking
facilities (if you wish to prepare breakfast). The
apartment has a kitchen too.
The building is built in such way that all rooms have
view to the sea. In all three villages there are
restaurants,tavernas and bars. Diosmarini has also the
advantage to be very close to everything but away from
the noise as well.
The distances between the villages are limited and so,
the distance from the port is 7' by foot while the
distance to the beaches is 5' the closest and 20'by
foot, the farest.
The bus terminal is also found 7' by foot from the
pension.The beaches of Katapola are mainly
pebbled,there are also areas with sand and the main
beach of the port, Maltezi,is sandy. The whole way to
the beaches is an idyllic and really beautiful
landscape.
The main privilege to stay in Katapola, besides
anything else, is that is found in the middle of the
island so it is easy to reach the north and the
virgin, authentic south as well.
It is also found very
close to the capital, Hora (6 Klm),one of the most
beautiful capitals of Cyclades and also the Monastery
of Our Lady of Hosoviotissa, the main sightseeing of
the island with the breathless landscape.
